With thanks to our local organisers, here's a handy guide to getting around in Edinburgh and a map with key locations saved. Please take note of instructions to enter BT Murrayfield on the main conference days.

Day 1 – Tuesday 15 October

Getting to Edinburgh Grosvenor

By Train: 5 minute walk from Haymarket Rail station 

By Tram: https://edinburghtrams.com/

If taking the tram from the city centre, head in the direction of the Airport but get off at the Haymarket stop. If coming from the airport, take the tram in the direction of York Place and get off at Haymarket A ticket must be purchased before you board, we would recommend buying a City Zone Return Ticket at £3.20 which will ensure an easy return to the city centre. Please note that if you are traveling from the airport, you will need to purchase the airport ticket 

By Bus

Lothian Buses https://www.lothianbuses.com/

Edinburgh City Centre – Services 1, 3, 12, 22, 25, 26, 30, 31 or 33

Edinburgh Airport – Airlink 100 will take you to Haymarket station and then it’s a short 2 minute walk to the hotel

Day 2 – Wednesday 16 October 

BT Murrayfield Rugby Union Stadium
Edinburgh EH12 5PJ

On arrival

Entrance to the stadium is via the Main Gatehouse (only), EH12 5PJ. The entrance is manned by security staff, please let them know you are attending FORCE. Entrance on day 2 is via the pitch. The stewards will then direct guests to the south tunnel where they will access pitchside. Entrance to the suite is via the stadium bowl. Also see the image below.

Getting to Murrayfield

Edinburgh Trams run a fast, frequent service to the entrance of BT Murrayfield stadium from Haymarket Station and St Andrew Square tram stop, just a short walk from Waverley Station. A ticket must be purchased before you board, we would recommend buying a City Zone Return Ticket at £3.20 which will ensure an easy return to the city centre 

By Bus

Edinburgh City Centre – Services 1, 3, 12, 22, 25, 26, 30, 31 or 33

Edinburgh Airport – Airlink 100 will take you to BT Murrayfield and the City Centre

Bus fares are £1.70 for a single or £4.00 for a day ticket. Please note that you must have the exact cash for the bus or you can use contactless.

How to get there

By Tram

From Murrayfield, take the tram heading in the direction of York place (2 stops), get off at West End – Princes Street then walk for 3 minutes along Shandwick Place. Ghillie Dhu is at the end of Shandwick Place and just passed the Lothian Buses shop.

By Bus

From Murrayfield, walk 4 minutes to the Western Approach Road, take the bus 22 or 30 in the direction of city centre and then get off on Lothian Road. Ghillie Dhu is a short 1 minute walk.
 

Day 3 Thursday 17 October 

BT Murrayfield – Edinburgh EH12 5PJ

On arrival

Entrance to the stadium is via the Main Gatehouse (only), EH12 5PJ. The entrance is staffed by security, please let them know you are attending FORCE. The stewards will then direct you to the conference suites. Turn left from the main gates and head round to the conference suites, located in the west stand.

Accessibility 

The meeting rooms at Murrayfield Stadium are accessible to wheelchair users and all floors are serviced by lifts. There are accessible toilets located throughout the building and disabled parking bays available in the car park.
