  • Christine Borgman, Professor and Presidential Chair for Information Studies at the University of California, will speak to the challenges and opportunities for active research data management, and for better collaboration and discovery tools for more specialized research data.

  • Richard Hulser, Chief Librarian, Natural History Museum, Los Angeles County, will speak on how his institution uses altmetrics to track their research outputs.

  • Timo Hannay, Managing Director of Digital Science, will share his global perspective on how the modes of scholarly communication are evolving to better support collaboration and discovery.

  • Euan Adie, Founder of Altmetric, will discuss the opportunities for collaboration and showcasing which are gained from social, news and public policy attention.

  • Mark Hahnel, Founder of figshare, will speak about the new institutional figshare offering which allows researchers to publish, control and share their research data and build productive collaborations.
