FORCE2027:
Mexico City
A new kind of FORCE11 meeting. Four days in Ciudad de México for the people who make, share, review and preserve research.
Machines now read, summarise, review and draft scholarship. FORCE11 asks what publishing and communication should look like once that is ordinary, and who gets to decide.
Four strands run through the meeting. Each is a working question, not a panel title.
- Machines as readers and writers: When papers are written with, and for, models, what is a paper for? Formats, metadata and provenance for a mixed human and machine audience.
- Trust and review: Peer review, research integrity and reproducibility when authorship is shared with software and reviewers are sometimes agents.
- Open infrastructure: Who owns the models, the corpora and the pipes? Keeping scholarly communication open when it runs on AI.
- Every language, every region: Multilingual scholarship and Latin American research communities at the centre of the conversation, not the margin.
