Data Citation Dissemination Group

GROUP HAS COMPLETED THEIR WORK AND IS NO LONGER ACTIVE.

FOR QUERIES, PLEASE WRITE TO ‘INFO@FORCE11.ORG’

The Data Citation Synthesis Group is a cross-team committee leveraging the perspectives from the various existing initiatives working on data citation to produce a consolidated set of data citation principles (based on the Amsterdam Manifesto, the CODATA-ICSTI Task Group report and other sets of principles provided by others) in order to encourage broad adoption of a consistent policy for data citation across disciplines and venues.

The synthesis group has reviewed the existing efforts and made a set of recommendations in a Joint Declaration of Data Citation Principles

We are now asking for endorsement of these Principles by the worldwide research community. If you wish to add your name or that of your organization (with your organization's logo) to the endorsement list, please do so by selecting the tab above or clicking on the Endorsement button on this page.   Here is the list of endorsements to date.

If you are able to help in the dissemination of the Principles to others, please add your name and those of your contacts on the appropriate wiki in the Dissemination List tab above and use the cover letter that is also there to help with the dissemination process.

We also have a link to various dissemination tools on this page that you can use. Finally, if you have some comments or questions that you want to post to the Data Citation Principles Dissemination Group, add your comments on the  Discussion Forum page.
