Matt Buys – Executive Director of DataCite

Matthew leads a passionate and committed team at DataCite who provide the means to create, find, cite, connect, and use research globally. Based in Amsterdam, Matthew focusses on building DataCite into a sustainable global community. Previously Matthew was the Director of Engagement at ORCID where he played an important role in growing the community into an international-scale research effort with over 1,000 member organizations and 7 million users. He completed a BA (Psychology) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Management at the University of the Witwatersrand. In addition, Matthew has also completed courses in Java, Flash, XML, html, Perl, and SQL.

Nazaré Couto – Senior Researcher I Coordinator of Bioresources and Green Technologies at CENSE NOVA School of Science and Technology; Invited Assistant Professor at Faculty of Sciences University of Porto

Nazaré Couto holds a BSc and a PhD in Environmental Sciences and Technologies, from Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto (FCUP) and since 2011 works in CENSE – Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research, NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA). She is the Coordinator of the Research Area “Bioresources and Green Technologies” in CENSE (Out 2021 – Out 2025) and an elected Member of the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering Council. Nazaré is Principal Investigator (PI) of the FCT NOVA team in two Interreg SUDOE projects in the thematic of environmental remediation, pollution assessment and circular economy – CEMOWAS 2 (SOE2/P5/F0505) and 4KET4REUSE (SOE1/P1/E0253) – being responsible for scientific, laboratorial, and human resources management, including the supervision of postgraduated research (MSc, PhD, Post- Doc). ~30 SCI articles, 1 book Editor, 17 book chapters, ~500 citations, h-Index of 12 (Scopus database, Nov 2021), 1 PhD Thesis supervision; 7 MSc Thesis supervisions or co-supervision. She got scientific employment fellowships/contract financed by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (PhD, Post-Doc, and Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus (CEECIND/04210/2017)) and team member of national and European Projects (e.g. e-THROUGH – H2020-MSCA-RISE-2017-778045, ELECTROACROSS – FP7-PEOPLE-2010-IRSES/MC-IRSES-269289). Nazaré was a collaborator of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) on the Journey Educational Program – Local Manager (EIT Climate-KIC Hub Portugal; 2017 and 2018), and Trainer in the Water Academy for Spain on the European Green Deal thematic (EIT Water Manufacturing; 2020). She also collaborates with University of Porto (FCUP) teaching Soil Remediation Technologies at MSc level. Nazaré was a visiting scholar in several international universities (China, Denmark/Greenland, Spain, Italy, and the US) and is a member of the International Water Association (IWA) and the American society for testing and materials (ASTM).

Güleda Doğan – Assistant Professor of Information Management at Hacettepe University in Turkey

Güleda Doğan is working as an assistant professor at Hacettepe University, Department of Information Management. She has an undergraduate degree in Statistics and studied university rankings for her PhD. Güleda Doğan has an editorial experience of 12 years in a national Turkish library science journal. She worked on two European Union-funded projects on open access policies, and she is currently a consultant for the Council of Higher Education and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey on open access, open science, and related issues.

Viviana Letizia – Freelance Managing Editor in the Physics team of Elsevier Journals currently working on the following journals: Physics Letters B, Nuclear Instruments and Methods of Physics A (Proceedings) and SoftwareX

Viviana is an experienced Freelance Managing Editor in the Physics team of Elsevier Journals. She presently works for three journals: Physics Letters B, Nuclear Instruments and Methods of physics A (Proceedings part) and SoftwareX. In addition to traditional editorial support, she has also been working closely with editors and publishers to improve research articles reproducibility developing innovative editorial projects. Regarding her background, she holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Université Paris Dauphine, Paris, France. She is Italian but lives in Paris.

Dr. Jiban K. Pal – Scientific & Technical Professional in the Library, Documentation and Information Science Division of the Indian Statistical Institute; Founding member of the Re3data Editorial Board

Dr. Jiban K. Pal (b.1972): is a well-rounded professional, actively engaged in research, teaching, and scholarship thereby mentoring professional values through continuous learning and practices in the field of Library and Information Science. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Calcutta (India). He has been serving the Indian Statistical Institute Library for more than twenty years. He is impassioned to bridge the gap between research and practices with the ultimate goal of elevating how the services to academic researchers are managed and valued. He has been recognized as a visiting faculty of the Indira Gandhi National Open University at the Regional Centre (Kolkata). He also acts as a Nodal Officer of the Indian Research Information Network System (IRINS), Government of India. Dr. Pal is a founder member of the Re3data Editorial Board. He also served as honorary Associate Editor of the IASLIC Newsletter. He was committed to the Databib World Repository project of the Purdue and PennState universities (USA) from 2012 to 2015. He has received travel grants from the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in 2018 and German Research Foundation (DFG) in 2022. He has served as a member of the publications committees, symposia organizing committees, and technical support teams. He has been, among others, a recipient of the prestigious InfoShare Award of the ASIS&T (USA) for 2021 and he is recognized as a jury of the International Paper Contest (IPC) of the SIG-III (ASIS&T) for 2022. Jiban has contributed many influential papers with notable citations that are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. His areas of research interest include digital archiving, metadata engineering, open science, research data management, and scientometrics. He is used to perform as a reviewer of some leading information science journals, including Scientometrics (Springer). He is a life-member of the International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (Belgium), SIS (New Delhi) and IASLIC (Kolkata). Pavlos Tyrologou – Research Fellow at The Centre for Research & Technology, Hellas (CERTH) and External Relation Officer in European Federation of Geologists (EFG)

Pavlos Tyrologou, is a research fellow at CERTH and external relation officer in EFG, holds a BSc (4 years Hons) degree in Geology and Applied (engineering) Geology from Glasgow University, an MSc in Applied Environmental Geology from Cardiff University and a PhD in Environmental Geotechnical Engineering from Imperial College London fully supported by a scholarship award from The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, UK. He is professionally accredited in the UK both as a Chartered Geologist and Eurogeologist in the field of Engineering Geology. Pavlos has 19 years of consultancy experience in various public infrastructure design/works in Greece, United Kingdom, Australia, Saint Maarten, and Madagascar. He is an expert witness for both the Athens Public Prosecutor’s Office and Athens Court of Justice. He has evaluated more than 100 research and business projects as independent evaluator for both the European Commission and Greek Government. Pavlos due to his expertise’s serves as Coordinator in the European Federation of Geologists (EFG) in the Panel Natural Hazard & Climate Change and is a member of the Panels of experts on soil protection. On the same note he is the Greek representative within the EFG council through the Association of Greek Geologists.
