His research focuses on Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics, Ontologies, Computational Semantics, and Artificial Intelligence, and has published on all these topics.
His overall long-term interests focus on how and why people communicate — not only their propositional but also their interpersonal meanings and characteristics.
He is a member of the FORCE11 founding group and its Board of Directors.
