Hello,
We are reaching out to see if the organizers of FSCI can help us recruit researchers for a study. The call for participants and further information is below:
Call for research participants! A research team is seeking participants interested in joining a focus group about attitudes towards open access publishing among faculty who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color. This survey is intended to identify participants interested in participating in a small, online focus group exploring attitudes towards open access publishing. The online focus group will last 90 (ninety) minutes. This survey is completely voluntary. All responses will be kept confidential and only the two member research team will have access to responses.
Completing this survey does not guarantee participation in a focus group. The researchers are striving for a diverse representation of self-identified racial and ethnic identities. This survey will be used to identify a diverse sample of participants. Focus group participants will receive a $50 (USD) Amazon gift card. The nature of a focus group is such that confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. The researchers will provide participants with the procedures in place to maintain confidentiality of the research data and will inform participants not to repeat what is said in the focus group to others.
We are seeking: STEM, Social Science, Humanities, Nursing and Public Health, and Business faculty especially. Participants' knowledge of open access can range anywhere from unaware to expert.
If you have any questions regarding this survey or the larger study, please contact the principal investigator, Tatiana Bryant (Asst. Professor, Adelphi University, (516) 877-3555, tbryant@adelphi.edu). https://bit.ly/oabipocrecruitmentsurvey
