We are deeply pleased to inform both the Force11 community and the DLF community that the winner of our Digital Library Federation + FORCE11 Cross-Pollinator Travel Award is Hue Thi Pham. She is the Head of Training and Research Support Division at the Hanoi University Library in Hanoi, Vietnam and a research associate at the Caulfield School of IT at the Monash University.
Hue has Master of Information Management and Systems Professional from Monash University. She is expected to defend her PhD thesis in Information Technology, Monash University this October. Her research interests include library collaboration in digital scholarship and research partnership particularly in research data management, scholarly communication, digital repositories and open access publishing, and e-research infrastructures. Her teaching interests and experience include Information and Knowledge Management Systems, IT Strategy and Governance, Business Information Systems, IT Project Management, Research Methods and Information Literacy. She has experience in designing courses and training programs for library teaching staff.
The review committee highly regarded her application, specifically her prior participation in Force11, work across the research-library divide; training; and interest in technologies to assist progress in these areas. The selection committee feels that Hue is an ideal emissary to help synergize scholarly communication innovation across DLF, Force11 and beyond. As part of this travel fellowship, she will receive a $1200 stipend for travel, and free registration at the DLF conference.
We are looking forward to the obligatory blog post about her experiences at the DLF Forum in Milwaukee, November 6-9, 2016.
